Design Engineer – Mechanical/Oilfield Products

About the role

The Design Engineer will create, improve, verify, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic designs for oilfield and subsea products. Working closely with project teams, vendors, and clients, you will use CAD and analysis tools to deliver robust solutions that meet project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create designs that address project specifications and client requirements.
• Implement design changes to resolve field issues and enhance product performance.
• Define problems, conduct analysis, and develop effective solutions.
• Assist in building prototypes and validate designs through testing.
• Produce detailed drawings and documentation for manufacturing and client communication.
• Perform order‑of‑magnitude and detailed analyses to verify designs.
• Develop installation, operation, and maintenance manuals.
• Share knowledge and best practices across the organization and support junior designers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic design of oilfield products.
• Ability to work autonomously and under direction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with HSE policies and procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software for solid modeling, drawings, and schematics.
• Experience using analysis software for design verification.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office or equivalent.
• Capability to produce complex technical layouts and proposals.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic design principles.
