Design Engineer III – Aircraft Cabin and Cargo Interiors

About the role

This position supports the development and customization of aircraft cabin and cargo interiors for airline customers, covering design, analysis, integration and in‑service support from concept to final installation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine to moderate level design solution development, including part design, layout maturation, trade‑study analysis and certification activities.
• Create and modify technical documents using Airbus computer‑based applications, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal departments to develop optimum solutions and deliver technical presentations with limited direction.
• Provide engineering support to airline customers during aircraft operation and identify local improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aero, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) with at least six years of design and analysis experience on cabin, cargo or system installation projects.
• Authorized to work in the US and able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures and bill‑of‑materials.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
• 3D modeling experience, preferably CATIA.
• Programming knowledge in C, C++, Python or similar languages.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft regulatory requirements and certification processes.
