Deployment Engineer II

About the role

Netrix Global is hiring a Deployment Engineer II in Wyomissing, PA, for its Managed Services practice. The engineer plans, coordinates, configures, deploys and supports technology solutions across customer and internal environments, partnering with Engineering, Operations, Project Management and Support teams to deliver reliable, secure and efficient deployments of hardware, software, infrastructure and cloud-based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute deployment, installation, configuration and upgrade activities for hardware, software, infrastructure and cloud solutions
• Validate deployment readiness and prerequisites before implementation
• Perform deployment testing, verification and post-deployment validation
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues to maintain operational continuity
• Support rollouts, migrations, system upgrades, refresh initiatives and operational projects
• Maintain deployment documentation, configuration records, implementation procedures and knowledge base content
• Lead moderately complex deployment projects and coordinate activities across technical teams
• Conduct root cause analysis, recommend process improvements and automation opportunities, and mentor less experienced engineers
• Adhere to security, compliance, change management and quality assurance standards

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in deployment engineering, implementation services, infrastructure support, systems administration or a related technical role
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field preferred; equivalent education, training and experience may be considered
• Experience leading deployment activities for rollouts, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure projects
• Ability to work independently on moderately complex projects with limited supervision and to handle multiple priorities and deadlines

Required skills

• Proven experience deploying, configuring and supporting enterprise technology solutions across multiple environments
• Knowledge of deployment and implementation processes, and familiarity with deployment tools and automation technologies
• Preferred: CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, VMware or equivalent certification; advanced infrastructure or cloud certifications are a plus
• Understanding of cloud, security and infrastructure concepts

Working conditions: primarily office, hybrid or remote, with occasional on-call support outside normal hours and occasional travel.
