Department Manager – Tanger Outlets Riverhead

About the role

As a Department Manager at H&M you will lead a store team, fostering an inclusive and entrepreneurial culture while ensuring an excellent operational and visual experience for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the overall omni‑channel customer experience, aligning visual and commercial presentation with global guidelines.
• Analyze sales and budget data, develop action plans to optimise results and profitability.
• Manage cost‑efficient department operations, including fitting‑room, checkout, returns, and inventory routines.
• Promote the Hello Member loyalty app and in‑store sustainability initiatives.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and evaluate team members; plan schedules and succession pathways.
• Collaborate with the Visual Merchandiser to maintain high fashion quality and stock levels.

Required profile

• Strong leadership with a focus on teamwork, motivation and clear communication.
• Commercial awareness and ability to identify and act on sales opportunities.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and adhering to legal and operational procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using retail POS systems and basic administrative tools.
• Understanding of fashion trends and product knowledge.
