About the role

The Department Manager leads a specific area of a McDonald’s franchise restaurant, ensuring fast, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and staff performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations and guarantee a consistent customer experience.
• Manage assigned systems such as training, food safety, and inventory control.
• Set departmental goals, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and report results.
• Ensure sales promotions are executed correctly and service areas (Front Counter, McCafé, Drive‑Thru) are organized for optimal service.
• Control food costs, maintain food safety standards, and train kitchen staff on production procedures.
• Recruit, train, and schedule crew members to meet sales and profit targets.
