About the role
The Department Manager leads a specific area of a restaurant operating under a McDonald’s franchise. You will ensure that guests receive fast, accurate, and friendly service while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and staff performance.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set departmental goals, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and report results.
- Ensure crew and managers deliver an excellent customer experience and execute sales promotions effectively.
- Maintain organization of Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru areas for optimal service.
- Control food costs, guarantee food safety, and ensure timely preparation of quality meals.
- Recruit qualified crew, provide thorough training, and schedule staff to meet sales and profit targets.
Required profile
- Proven ability to lead shifts and manage a team in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
- Experience in setting goals, delegating tasks, and tracking performance metrics.
