Dental Specialist – Multiple Specialties

About the role

Dental Specialists at LA Health Services deliver advanced dental care across multiple specialties. The position requires completion of an accredited advanced specialty training program and involves both clinical and academic duties within a Level I trauma center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialized diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative dental procedures for patients in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Outpatient Clinic.
• Serve as a Trauma Team Member for oral and maxillofacial emergencies at a Level I Trauma Center.
• Perform on‑call trauma and emergency duties consistent with acute‑care hospital needs.
• Maintain clinical privileges at Harbor UCLA Medical Center and Martin Luther King Outpatient Care.
• Fulfill administrative and teaching responsibilities for General Dental Practice Residency or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training programs.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved advanced specialty training program in dentistry.
• Eligibility to teach and supervise residents or fellows.
• Ability to provide on‑call trauma coverage and manage medically compromised patients.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, compassionate care to a diverse population.
