Demand Planner

About the role

SKIMS is seeking an analytical and commercially‑minded Demand Planner to join its Planning team in Los Angeles. You will own the demand forecast across multiple product categories, turning data, product strategy and market trends into actionable signals that guide inventory and planning decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the demand forecast for multiple product categories, integrating statistical models, business trends and commercial inputs.
• Lead weekly forecast reviews, highlighting risks, opportunities and deviations from plan.
• Partner with Merchandising to understand product launches, assortment changes and lifecycle strategies.
• Collaborate with Channel Planning to align forecasts with channel‑level sales and inventory plans.
• Work with Data Science to improve forecast accuracy by adding promotional activity, customer behavior and cannibalisation factors.
• Support OTB and financial planning discussions by communicating forecast changes and inventory implications.
• Analyze forecast performance metrics such as accuracy, bias, demand variability and inventory health.
• Present demand insights and recommendations to cross‑functional partners.
• Assist new product launches by evaluating historical analogues, launch plans and channel expectations.
• Continuously evolve demand‑planning tools, reporting and processes as the business scales.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Retail Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, merchandise planning, inventory planning, forecasting or a similar analytical planning role.
• Experience in retail, apparel, consumer products or another fast‑paced consumer business is preferred.
