Deli Bakery Clerk

About the role

Meijer is looking for a Deli Bakery Clerk to deliver excellent customer service with strong product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude. The role covers a range of retail tasks across the meat, seafood, bakery, deli and grocery departments and helps keep the store running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers and respond to their questions effectively
• Display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language
• Stock product and keep displays up to standard according to merchandising guidelines
• Use technology to complete tasks and follow safety and sanitation procedures

Required profile

• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong listening and communication skills
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment and to work consistently with customers
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist, and to stand for long periods
