Defense Acquisition and Supply Chain Risk Management Transformation Manager

About the role

Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice is seeking a senior manager to support the Department of War (DOW) in supply chain risk management, acquisition policy, and contracting strategy. The role involves advising senior leaders, shaping governance structures, and delivering executive‑level decision support.

Key responsibilities

• Advise DOW leadership on supply chain risk management, acquisition policy, contracting strategy, supplier resilience, and enterprise governance.
• Develop and implement SCRM governance structures, decision rights, oversight processes, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths.
• Translate DOW, DPCAP, acquisition, contracting, and supply chain policies into practical guidance for program and mission stakeholders.
• Coordinate across headquarters offices, commands, program executive offices, contracting organizations, and other mission partners.
• Track and manage SCRM issues, risks, dependencies, decisions, and stakeholder equities across the DOW enterprise.
• Prepare executive‑level briefings, decision papers, recommendations, talking points, status reports, and other decision‑support materials.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in defense acquisition, acquisition policy, contracting, supply chain risk management, logistics, or federal program management.
• Active Secret security clearance and ability to work on‑site in Alexandria, VA.
• Demonstrated experience supporting the DOW or a comparable federal acquisition enterprise.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to build professional relationships.
• Proven ability to lead projects or workstreams, manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment, and meet deadlines.
