Dealer Relationship Manager – Gainesville, FL

About the role

The Dealer Relationship Manager (DRM) is the front‑line sales representative responsible for building and maintaining strong partnerships with franchised and independent auto dealerships in the Gainesville, FL territory. This role drives loan originations, educates dealers on products and finance programs, and ensures outstanding service.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, develop, and manage trusted relationships with automotive dealerships within the territory.
• Grow loan originations and dealer engagement by promoting Santander’s auto finance programs, OEM programs, small business, dealer commercial products, and digital services.
• Provide ongoing education to dealerships on finance program guidelines, underwriting policies, and digital tools.
• Maintain regular dealer visits, manage accounts, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Partner with Credit and Funding teams to resolve dealer issues quickly and deliver superior service.
• Represent the company at dealer events, trade shows, and industry meetings while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of sales experience in auto finance, client relations, account management, or automotive retail sales management.
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory up to 100% of the time.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
