Databricks Engineer – AI & Data Team

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Databricks Engineer to join its AI & Data team. You will work as a consultant delivering long‑term, on‑site or remote solutions for clients, focusing on building and maintaining robust data platforms across major cloud providers.

Key responsibilities

• Build, configure, and support Databricks environments on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform, including necessary integrations.
• Develop and maintain Databricks notebooks, jobs, workflows, and pipelines for data and analytics solutions.
• Translate approved technical designs into implementation tasks, documenting configuration, dependencies, and deployment steps.
• Support platform configuration, infrastructure setup, testing, and deployment readiness across environments.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, data‑science groups, and client stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, support releases, and ensure platform performance.

Required skills

• 5+ years of experience with Databricks platform implementation, configuration, or development.
• Hands‑on experience building Databricks environments on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience developing or supporting ETL pipelines within Databricks.
• Knowledge of Databricks workspace administration, MLOps, and infrastructure setup.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
