Data Scientist

About the role

The Data Scientist at Bread Financial will create actionable business insights by developing and maintaining cutting‑edge predictive models and AI solutions. You will work closely with enterprise partners to translate business challenges into data‑driven strategies, supporting the company’s financial services operations.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and execute frameworks for engaging enterprise partners to plan new AI solutions (30%).
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI models and predictive analytics tools (30%).
• Document, ensure compliance, and manage model governance for AI solutions (15%).
• Research advanced modeling techniques to improve predictive performance and stay current with industry trends (15%).
• Build strong relationships with internal business partners to deliver enterprise‑wide solutions (10%).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience building sophisticated machine‑learning, segmentation, or time‑series models.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD and 3+ years of professional analytics experience.
• Experience in financial services, banking, credit‑card, consulting, retail, or related sectors is a plus.
