Data Reporting and Analytics Consultant IV

About the role

This individual contributor supports benefits reporting operations, with a focus on California benefits reporting and ad hoc analytical requests. The role develops, maintains and automates reporting solutions across SAS, Oracle SQL Developer, Microsoft Access, Power BI and Databricks, while supporting the move from legacy tools to modern platforms and ensuring continuity of critical California reporting. It also requires strict adherence to PHI/PII compliance for member data.

Key responsibilities

• Define metrics, validate algorithms and run descriptive, correlational, inferential and predictive analyses
• Build, implement and automate reports, visualisations and BI dashboards, and document processes and data sources
• Gather, clean, merge and extract data, maintain data quality and prepare datasets for analysis
• Develop and test analytical and statistical models, and train and support end users
• Work with clients to define business needs, analysis plans and outcome measures, and drive data-informed decisions
• Support the migration from legacy tools (SAS/Access) to modern platforms (Databricks/Power BI)

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, business or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years' experience in data reporting, analytics or a related field
• At least 1 year in a leadership role, with or without direct reports
• Minimum 3 years with SQL querying and data extraction using Oracle SQL Developer or similar tools
• Minimum 3 years developing reports and dashboards with Power BI or similar BI tools
• Minimum 2 years working with healthcare or benefits data, including PHI/PII compliance

Required skills

• Advanced SQL querying and Oracle SQL Developer
• Power BI dashboard development and report automation
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access and Databricks or similar cloud platforms
• Preferred: SAS programming, Bizagi, ETL workflows and California benefits reporting regulations
