Data Platform Engineer – Digital Operations

About the role

BETA Technologies is building electric aircraft and needs a hands‑on engineer to design, deploy and operate the data and knowledge infrastructure that powers the organization. You will work with data scientists, platform engineers and domain experts to create scalable, cloud‑native data services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable data platform services, including data lakes, warehouses and graph databases.
• Create data integration solutions that connect information across the product lifecycle from design to field operations.
• Develop performant data access layers using GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Deploy, monitor and manage production data systems on AWS, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement data quality, lineage and governance solutions to meet aerospace compliance.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience building and shipping data or platform infrastructure in production.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, clean code practices and testing.
• Experience operating cloud‑based data services on AWS.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
