Data Linguist – Malay Language

About the role

We are looking for a Data Linguist specialized in the Malay language to join our team in the United States. You will work closely with data scientists and engineers to prepare, process, and enrich language data that powers our machine‑learning models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and release hard‑coded linguistic rules for large language models using regular expressions.
• Read, adapt, and maintain existing data‑manipulation scripts in Jupyter notebooks and command‑line environments.
• Process large volumes of Malay language data, ensuring quality and consistency across dialects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align data pipelines with model requirements.

Required profile

• Familiarity with data processing and visualization tools, especially Python.
• Understanding of how data influences machine‑learning model performance.
• Ability to work with large, rapidly changing language datasets.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a high degree of flexibility.
