Data Engineering Manager (ETL/Data Warehouse) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a highly technical, hands‑on Data Engineering Manager to lead a growing team that designs, builds, and supports enterprise‑scale ETL pipelines and data warehouses. This remote position balances leadership with active development, allowing you to mentor engineers while staying close to the technology.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a distributed team of data engineers across the U.S. and offshore locations.
• Define and enforce best practices, development standards, and operational excellence for ETL and data‑warehouse projects.
• Oversee end‑to‑end project delivery, managing priorities, timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and data quality of production pipelines; drive root‑cause analysis and issue resolution.
• Identify automation opportunities, improve monitoring/alerting, and recommend tooling enhancements.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data warehousing.
• 5+ years of leadership or team‑management experience, preferably with distributed/offshore teams.
• Strong project‑management and stakeholder‑communication skills.
