Data Engineer IV – Machine Learning Data Enablement

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer IV to join the newly launched Machine Learning Data Enablement squad within the Data Insights Tribe at Fifth Third Bank. The role focuses on building high‑quality, scalable data pipelines that power machine‑learning models across the enterprise. You will work onsite in Cincinnati, collaborating closely with data scientists and ML engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that feed machine‑learning models.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to deliver curated, production‑ready datasets.
• Implement data infrastructure in AWS SageMaker and related cloud services.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the pipeline.

Required profile

• Early‑career professional with hands‑on data engineering experience.
• Experience supporting machine‑learning projects or partnering with data‑science teams.
• Strong interest in modern data tooling and enabling ML workflows.
