Data Engineer III – Power BI Specialist (Onsite, Cincinnati)

About the role

The company is seeking a Data Engineer III to design, develop and maintain Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI. This onsite position in Cincinnati requires U.S. citizenship or a green card. The role focuses on building data models, creating interactive dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data models within Power BI to support business analysis.
• Create interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, cloud services and flat files.
• Perform data analysis, visualization, and performance optimization of Power BI solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, deploy solutions and maintain data governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to run meetings with business and IT partners.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities for data‑related issues.
• Experience with SDLC, project management and release management processes.

Required skills

• Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, report/dashboard design).
• SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Data warehousing concepts, ETL and star/snowflake schemas.
• Tableau, DataStage, Dataiku and AFS system (AFS Level III or Vision) experience.
