Data Center Project Manager

About the role

Black Box is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead the construction of the largest data center in the United States. You will own the full project lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day construction management using established PMO standards.
• Develop, maintain, and track detailed project schedules.
• Oversee all execution phases, aligning scope, timeline, and budget.
• Manage change events through best‑practice change management processes.
• Enforce safety protocols, quality controls, and compliance with building codes.
• Apply construction accounting principles for cost forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Administer contracts (lump sum, cost‑plus, GMP, design‑build, time & material) and monitor vendor performance.
• Serve as primary contact for internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and senior leadership, delivering clear status updates and presentations.
• Anticipate risks, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvement using data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Proficient in using data and analytics to support informed decision‑making.
• Extensive knowledge of construction safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of estimating engineering principles and construction methodologies.
• Experience with change management in large‑scale infrastructure projects.
