Data Analyst - Transplant Administration

About the role

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is hiring a Data Analyst for its transplant administration unit. The analyst performs complex data analysis to support clinical, administrative and operational decisions, builds and maintains dashboards, reports and scorecards, and prepares data and presentations for executive and quality/performance improvement committees.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze data for ad-hoc and standing clinical and administrative requests, and build dashboards from multiple systems and sources
• Evaluate data quality, research new data sources and analytical tools, and help improve product delivery and presentation
• Manage standing reports such as department P&L, OR metrics, service line and programmatic scorecards and dashboards
• Prepare data and presentations for committees such as quarterly QA/PI/PIC committees, service line steering committees and the Surgical Services Executive Committee
• Work with departments, divisions and administrators to understand requirements and deliver data products on time
• Communicate results clearly and point out system or process problems to the team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher; a degree in Healthcare, Business and Administration is preferred
• 1 year of healthcare experience, preferably in healthcare operations and analytics
• 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, decision support or finance

Required skills

• Demonstrated proficiency with analytical software
• Data dashboard building
