Data Analyst Summer Internship

About the role

Blank Slate is seeking a Data Analyst Intern for a summer internship, with the possibility of extending to a full‑time position. The role focuses on exploring and interpreting large‑scale user learning data to uncover trends, behavioral patterns, and actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and analyze extensive user learning datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and performance insights.
• Clean, structure, and transform raw data using Python, SQL, pandas, and NumPy.
• Discover usage patterns across users, teams, cards, decks, time periods, and learning outcomes.
• Conduct learning and retention analysis linking engagement, repetition, accuracy, and forgetting.
• Mine data for hidden signals that can inform product features, dashboards, and strategy.
• Create clear visualizations and written summaries with matplotlib, notebooks, and spreadsheets.
• Collaborate directly with the CEO and senior data scientist to translate findings into business recommendations.

Required profile

• Current junior, senior, or master’s student in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to formulate hypotheses and test them against data.
