Data Analyst (PII Privacy & Incident Response)

About the role

CACI is seeking a Data Analyst to support a government customer in analyzing and monitoring systems for personally identifiable information (PII), identifying privacy gaps and incorrect security protocols, and performing analytics for metric reporting. The analyst audits large datasets and applies advanced analytical skills to mitigate risks, contain incidents and provide data-driven insights for incident response strategies. The position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to identify potential privacy breaches and detect anomalies in data access patterns
• Collaborate with incident response team members and cross-functional teams to investigate and respond to privacy breach incidents
• Provide data analysis and recommendations to inform incident response strategies
• Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to communicate metrics and trends to stakeholders
• Inform the team about emerging threats, technologies and trends in data privacy management

Required profile

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in computer science, data science or a related field
• Experience with large datasets and data management systems such as relational or NoSQL databases
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Desired: Master's degree in Cybersecurity Risk Management, Computer Science or related field, cloud experience (e.g., AWS), log review and incident-response certification (e.g., ECIH, GCIH)

Required skills

• Programming in Python or SQL for rapid data analysis
• Data analysis and problem-solving
• Desired: formal modeling, computational and social science experience
