Cybersecurity Analyst (SOC) - Secret Clearance

About the role

MANTECH, a provider of technology solutions to government intelligence agencies since 1968, is hiring a Cybersecurity Analyst in Boulder, CO (requisition R71558). The analyst supports 24/7/365 Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) operations, protecting critical government infrastructure and analyzing platform alerts. The position is full time, onsite, and requires a Secret clearance; shifts may include days, nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security consoles and identify platform alerts (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewall, EDR) for potential malicious activity.
• Analyze and triage security events to determine severity and impact.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and create initial incident reports for escalation.
• Review network traffic patterns and system logs to spot unauthorized access or anomalies.
• Assist with health and maintenance checks of security tools and sensors.
• Coordinate with team members and shift leads for smooth handoffs between shifts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field; or an Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma/GED with 6+ years of equivalent military or professional experience.
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Ability to work the required shift schedule, including night and weekend hours.
• Preferred: SOC, NOC or IT technical support experience, and a certification such as Active+, CySA+, GCIH or similar.

Required skills

• TCP/IP networking, common protocols and Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Security alerts, logs, event analysis and common attack vectors (phishing, malware, brute force, lateral movement).
• Preferred: enterprise security tools such as Splunk, ArcSight or Sentinel.
