Cyber Security Specialist (1-2 years experience)

About the role

AaraTech Inc is looking for a motivated Cyber Security Specialist with 1–2 years of experience to support its information security, risk management, and compliance programs. The role offers early‑career professionals the chance to work hands‑on in a regulated environment, collaborating with IT, compliance, and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and triage security alerts, logs, and events from SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and IAM tools.
• Identify, assess, and document security risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments, patch‑management tracking, and remediation validation.
• Support incident‑response activities, including investigation, documentation, and root‑cause analysis.
• Perform security configuration reviews, access‑control validations, and assist with audits (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO, NIST).
• Maintain security documentation such as procedures, incident reports, risk registers, and control evidence.
• Contribute to security awareness initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work with technical and non‑technical teams.
