Cyber Hunt Engineer (TS/SCI)

About the role

CACI is looking for a cyber threat hunter to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in St. Louis. The role proactively searches for indicators of compromise on NGA systems and networks, running planned hunt missions that involve host, network and process analysis to find potential intrusions. It is a regular, full-time position with up to 10% local travel.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively search for and identify indicators of compromise and anomalous behavior.
• Work hunt missions independently through completion, assessing data from multiple sources to spot suspicious activity.
• Augment the identification and tracking of incidents.
• Create, update and document tickets in the authorized ticketing system.
• Contribute to the daily significant activity report, daily operations update and weekly status report.
• Work with the cyber threat intelligence team, countermeasure development team and others to improve security posture.
• Conduct host (Windows and Linux), network and process analysis, and assess and validate technical data to locate adversary intrusions and unauthorized activity.
• Create reports on hunt mission actions, findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, or must obtain a polygraph within 6 months of start date.
• High school diploma with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 6 years, or a master's degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• IAT Level III and CSSP Analyst certification; the CSSP Analyst certification can be obtained within 90 days of start date, otherwise the candidate must leave the program.
