CVOR Certified Surgical Tech - Contract

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a CVOR Certified Surgical Tech for a contract position in Daytona Beach, Florida, working 36 hours per week at day shifts. The role supports the operating room team and offers flexible contract assignments, with the option to convert to permanent staff if interested.

Key responsibilities

• Provide supportive care to patients during the pre-operative phase
• Collect and label specimens obtained during surgical procedures
• Conduct instrument counts before and throughout procedures
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, keeping it sterile and instruments organized
• Help the team achieve safe and efficient operating room turnover times
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technician in Surgery TS-C (NCCT)
• Technical/vocational school in a related field (required); associate degree preferred
• 2+ years of work experience and 2+ years of technical experience (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification (required); PALS preferred
