Customer Support Technician II - DDP

About the role

Join Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, as a Customer Support Technician II in Albany, NY. You will work in a clean‑room environment supporting semiconductor equipment, performing Tier I procedures and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform standard Tier I procedures including wafer measurement and wet cleans.
• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild kits as part of kit management quality.
• Assist senior engineers with corrective maintenance and apply diagnostic techniques.
• Maintain a neat work area, follow IP guidelines, and use knowledge‑management systems.

Required profile

• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 35 lb, and work in a clean‑room with PPE.
• Demonstrates professional customer service and a positive attitude in challenging situations.
• Follows safety procedures and complies with all IP and company policies.

Required skills

• Wafer measurement techniques.
• Preventative maintenance and wet cleaning of equipment.
• Kit disassembly, cleaning, and rebuilding.
• Use of diagnostic tools and test equipment under senior engineer guidance.
