Customer Service Representative – UHealth Wellness Center

About the role

The Department of Medical Wellness & Recreation at the University of Miami is seeking a part‑time Customer Service Representative for its UHealth Wellness Center. You will be the first point of contact for members and visitors, handling inquiries, complaints, and service requests in person, by phone, email or mail.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and respond to general inquiries, service requests and complaints.
• Research issues, provide solutions or forward them to the appropriate department.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the designated database.
• Escalate unresolved matters to department leadership.
• Facilitate front‑desk check‑in for facility visits, personal training sessions and fitness classes.
• Provide tours, process payments for memberships, pro‑shop sales and wellness programs.
• Report operational issues to management, housekeeping and security.
• Offer guidance on safe equipment use and perform routine floor maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies by contacting 911 and campus security as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant customer‑service experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze problems, handle confidential information and work evenings, nights and weekends.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
