Customer Service Representative (French-speaking)

About the role

The Customer Service Representative provides high‑quality support to French‑speaking customers, handling inbound calls and written inquiries while assisting the sales team. The role ensures timely order processing, accurate product information, and a positive customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and manage incoming calls, process orders, and provide product availability, pricing, and delivery details.
• Cross‑train and assist in purchasing, order confirmation, expediting, rescheduling, and Proforma processing.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve pricing, credit, inventory, shipping, quality, and technical issues.
• Monitor inventory levels for key accounts and alert the sales team to potential shortages.
• Support the Business Development Group with customer follow‑up and sales‑related tasks.
• Initiate outbound calls to nurture relationships and generate additional sales.
• Maintain accurate records, organize documents, and support the website chat function.
• Process orders received via the E‑store and Electronic Data Interface (EDI) systems.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a call‑center or customer‑service environment.
• Strong communication skills in French and English.
• Demonstrated product knowledge and ability to advise customers on applicability and alternatives.
