Culinary Arts Program Director & Instructor

About the role

Georgia Northwestern Technical College seeks a dynamic Culinary Arts Program Director & Instructor to lead and teach the culinary program at the Floyd County Campus. The role involves developing curriculum, delivering classroom instruction, and overseeing program operations across multiple campuses. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to the Dean of Business and Public Service Technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals and objectives.
• Prepare lesson plans and deliver classroom instruction for credited technical courses.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain required documentation and reports.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Ensure safety and security requirements are met in training areas.
• Support recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts with 5 years food‑service experience or 2 years supervisory experience; ServSafe certification.
• Preferred: American Culinary Federation Certified Culinary Educator or Certified Executive Chef/Pastry Chef, and post‑secondary teaching experience.
