About the role
The Culinary Arts Instructor will deliver classroom instruction and hands‑on training to students in the Culinary Arts program, preparing them with the technical competencies needed for the culinary business.
Key responsibilities
- Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
- Prepare lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
- Evaluate student progress toward goals and objectives.
- Request and maintain supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Prepare budget requests and maintain program certification requirements.
- Complete required documentation, reports, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure safety and security standards in the training area.
- Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators on instructional programs.
- Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
Required profile
- Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts *or* completion of a Culinary Apprenticeship program with industry certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Industry experience and previous teaching experience (preferred).
