CT/Diagnostic Technologist - Per Diem

About the role

Perform diagnostic CT and radiologic quality imaging under physician direction, ensuring proper technical and radiation standards while delivering courteous patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Operate all imaging equipment safely, including CT scanners, injectors, and monitors.
• Review images, repeat scans as needed, and ensure radiation protection standards.
• Communicate exam details to patients, address questions, and keep them informed throughout the procedure.
• Verify orders, deliver images to the correct PACS folder, and document relevant patient information.
• Prepare patients by reviewing charts, assessing history, and providing education.
• Participate in department meetings, assist in training new staff and students, and coordinate exam timing with the team.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma or accredited Radiography program graduate.
• RT (CT) certification and at least 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year as a CT technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for long periods, and perform patient transfers.

Required skills

• Operation of CT scanners and related imaging equipment.
• Proficient use of advanced CT software and post‑processing applications.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and protection standards.
• Use of PACS for image storage and retrieval.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) skills.
• Venipuncture (preferred).
