CT Technologist (Non-Registered)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time CT Technologist (non-registered) in Orlando, Florida, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekend positions are available across the Ocoee, Millenia and Winter Garden campuses. The role performs high-quality CT examinations according to provider orders and departmental protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations in line with provider orders and protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
• Review patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify contraindications.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when needed, while maintaining radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and PACS systems.
• Educate patients about the exam and complete exams in a timely manner, keeping workflow running and minimizing empty table time.
• Operate scanners, injectors and monitors safely, adapt protocols for patients of all ages, follow infection control standards and use approved PPE and disinfectants.
• Follow protocols for patient identification, informed consent and time-out procedures before exams.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent (required); Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of radiology experience (required).
• Completion of a CT training program or active enrollment in an approved AdventHealth Workforce Development CT training program preferred.
• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R)) with ARRT certification (required).
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• Eligible candidates receive up to $7,500 sign-on bonus and $1,500 relocation assistance; a 12-month full-time employment contract is required for the sign-on, and candidates must live 50 miles outside the campus address.
