CT Technologist

About the role

The CT Technologist performs routine computed tomography procedures safely and accurately, following radiation safety protocols. The role also includes mentoring junior staff and students while delivering compassionate patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and ensure procedure accuracy.
• Operate CT equipment independently, including IV placement, and acquire diagnostic‑quality images.
• Review images before transmission and perform quality‑control checks.
• Explain procedures to patients, obtain consent, and adapt communication to diverse patient populations.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration (or eligibility within 90 days) and current unrestricted state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computed tomography (CT) equipment.
• Experience using radiology information systems (RIS) and related software.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) skills.
