CT Scan Technologist 2 – Advanced Imaging Specialist

About the role

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) is seeking a CT Scan Technologist 2 to join its SoLé Mia imaging team. This role involves performing complex computed tomography procedures while ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow for inter‑departmental CT procedures.
• Perform diagnostic CT imaging studies under radiologist supervision and assist with protocol development.
• Participate in research initiatives and help develop new imaging protocols.
• Monitor daily charging of CT procedures and supplies for accuracy.
• Demonstrate CT equipment to visiting physicians and provide in‑service training.
• Verify orders, obtain consents, and ensure proper patient identification before each scan.
• Position patients correctly, apply immobilization and protective equipment, and follow aseptic techniques.

Required profile

• Independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Ability to integrate diagnostic results, patient history, and medical records to adapt exams as needed.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, radiologists, and research staff.
