Critical Care Cardiovascular Intensivist

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a board‑certified Critical Care Cardiovascular Intensivist to join its CVICU team. You will provide comprehensive care to both medical and surgical patients in a high‑acuity cardiac intensive care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑house intensive care coverage during daytime hours and participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes advanced practice providers, residents, cardiology fellows, cardiology attendings, and cardiac surgery attendings.
• Manage complex cardiovascular critical care cases, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the academic mission of the institution.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification in Critical Care Medicine.
• Active medical license to practice in the state of Arkansas.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved exemption.
