About the role
The Credit Risk and Reserves Analyst supports the Condition Monitoring, Discount Window Lending, Collateral Administration, and Reserves functions within the Credit, Risk, and Reserves Management (CRRM) Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Reporting to the Director of Condition Monitoring and Risk Management, the analyst conducts risk assessments, financial analyses, and operational tasks that help maintain the stability of the district’s depository institutions.
Key responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis of district depository institutions, evaluating capital, asset quality, earnings, liquidity, and overall condition.
- Assess counter‑party risk for other business entities interacting with the Reserve Bank.
- Review and evaluate account access and financial services requests, determining risk to the Reserve Bank and payment system.
- Prepare risk assessments, account reviews, and correspondence related to net debit caps and other regulatory matters.
- Communicate with institutions to resolve complex requests regarding loan advances, payments, intraday credit, and account administration.
- Execute operational tasks such as account openings/closings, structure changes, merger processing, overdraft monitoring, and charge application.
- Support the maintenance of an effective control environment and compliance with Federal Reserve policies.
Required profile
- Ability to work under moderate to limited supervision while collaborating with team members.
- Strong analytical mindset for routine to complex operational and financial analyses.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with depository institutions and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, timely services.
