Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

Unifi, the nation’s largest aviation services provider, is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join its legal team in Atlanta. The Corporate Legal Counsel will primarily manage the review, negotiation, and drafting of customer and vendor contracts, supporting the company’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, review, and analyze a wide variety of complex commercial agreements, ensuring protection of Unifi’s interests and compliance with policies and law.
• Collaborate on improvements to the contract review and approval process, contract templates, and related policies.
• Serve as the primary legal escalation point for internal contract stakeholders, resolving complex issues and assisting in disputes.
• Develop, implement, and update policies for internal contract approval to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Extract data from the CLM system to create metrics that measure contract performance.
• Prepare customized customer and vendor contract templates within the CLM system.
• Interpret and advise business partners on commercial transaction requirements and risk exposure.
• Negotiate terms with customers’ or vendors’ counsel and manage outside counsel on legal strategy.
• Develop and deliver training on contract approval processes and policies.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Top‑tier law firm training and a minimum of 3 years of corporate law experience.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts such as procurement, sales agreements, statements of work, leases, NDAs, and MSAs.

Required skills

• Experience with SaaS and license agreements.
• Knowledge of data privacy and cybersecurity considerations.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
