Corporate Finance Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

ABB is hiring a Corporate Finance Intern for Summer 2027, reporting to the Senior Business Controller. The intern gains practical experience through projects and supports ABB's operations while building their own education and employment opportunities. The work model is onsite or hybrid in Memphis, TN; Cary, NC; or St. Louis, MO, with no relocation assistance or stipend and candidates expected to live within 50 miles of the office.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to support ABB's operations and complete projects on time.
• Use knowledge of customer needs and ABB's offerings to propose suitable solutions.
• Take part in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, and seek feedback from managers and colleagues.
• Support month-end or quarter-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data and create variance reports.
• Research financial trends and industry benchmarks.
• Track actual spending against budget and identify variances.
• Create financial dashboards and visualizations.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Finance, Accounting or a related field in the United States.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

Required skills

• Critical thinking to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and handle several tasks at once with high quality.
• Team collaboration and clear communication.

The hourly rate depends on qualifications, graduation year and experience, and is expected to be between $20 and $34 per hour. Internships in the United States are not eligible for company-sponsored medical benefits, 401(k) contributions or paid time off.
