Corporate Counsel (Legal)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Corporate Counsel to join Garmin’s legal team at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. The role involves providing commercial and transactional legal guidance across a range of domestic and international matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise internal stakeholders on legal rights, obligations and commercial contracts.
• Research applicable laws, regulations and rulings to ensure compliance.
• Prepare, review and negotiate sales, purchasing, supply and other commercial agreements.
• Provide practical advice on antitrust, competition, anti‑bribery, anti‑corruption, export controls and related regulatory areas.
• Deliver training on compliance topics to internal clients.
• Collaborate with the Legal Department and other Garmin functions to support business objectives.

Required profile

• J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school and admission to the relevant state bar.
• Minimum three years of experience as an in‑house attorney or in private practice.
• Strong academic record and ability to apply legal knowledge in a business context.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using legal technology responsibly.
