Corporate Controller

About the role

The company, a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed construction firm, is looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to join the senior finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the accounting function and support strategic growth initiatives while ensuring financial accuracy and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Develop board‑level and executive reporting packages and analyze variances and performance trends.
• Prepare private‑equity and lender reporting, monitor covenant compliance and support financing activities.
• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash and treasury reconciliations.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance and drive best practices in financial governance.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, banking relationships and coordinate tax compliance with external advisors.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team while partnering with operations, legal and executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Participate in ERP upgrades, system implementations and post‑acquisition integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA designation.
• Public‑accounting experience with a Big 4 or national firm.
• Experience in a private‑equity‑backed organization.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
