About the role

The Student Operations Coordinator supports Education Abroad at the University of Maryland by managing enrollment processes, program administration, and student services. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Operations, the role works closely with advising, operations, and program management teams to ensure smooth delivery of study‑abroad services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the workflow for study‑abroad transfer‑credit course evaluations, set priorities, resolve issues, and coordinate with Transfer Credit Services.
• Monitor and analyze the study‑abroad course database to identify expiring approvals, academic trends, and gaps in offerings, providing recommendations for curriculum development.
• Audit student course registrations against approved evaluations, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Administer student registration and records processes for Education Abroad programs, interpreting and applying operating practices related to registration, insurance, and program readiness.
• Conduct comprehensive audits of student academic records to ensure accuracy of credit and grade information.
• Develop and deliver student‑facing resources and outreach activities to promote global learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience in higher‑education administration or student services.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
