Coordinated Federal Program Manager

About the role

The Georgia Department of Education is seeking a Coordinated Federal Program Manager to lead a streamlined service model for local education agencies implementing ESSA formula grants. This role partners with ESSA Directors and GaDOE staff to ensure effective grant administration and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multiple federal grants within the coordinated service model.
• Lead a team of Specialists who serve as the single point of contact for LEAs across several federal programs.
• Supervise staff using best‑practice management principles to optimize human, financial, and technical resources.
• Collaborate to align plans, budgets, monitoring, and statutory requirements across grant cycles.
• Develop and deliver high‑quality training and technical assistance to LEAs.
• Create resources and guidance documents supporting grant‑cycle topics and continuous improvement.
• Maintain clear communication between GaDOE divisions and LEAs.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to grant responsibilities.
• Occasional statewide travel as needed.

Required profile

• Georgia professional educator certification (preferred).
• Expertise in the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act as reauthorized under ESSA.
• Proven experience managing and leading personnel.
• Experience implementing comprehensive school reform initiatives.
• Knowledge of consolidating federal, state, and local funds in Title I schoolwide programs.
• Successful experience designing grant‑related processes and resources.
