About the role
Midtown is looking for an Aquatics Coach to join its aquatics team on weekends. The coaches inspire members of all ages through movement, community and personal attention, encouraging active, social and healthier lives.
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate sound leadership, professionalism, resilience and optimism
- Develop and maintain aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience
- Develop, deliver and measure aquatics programs
- Promote and provide private lessons
Required profile
- Competitive swimming background or competitive swim coach experience
- Current lifeguard and water safety instructor certifications (American Red Cross preferred)
- Ability to give multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic
- Effective written and verbal communication, able to explain information clearly, concisely and on time
