Controls Service Technician – HVAC Automation

About the role
The Controls Service Technician is responsible for start‑up, checkout, and troubleshooting of HVAC building automation systems. Working on both new construction and retrofit projects, the technician ensures that control systems operate efficiently and meet client specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Perform controls system inspections, service, and troubleshooting on site.
- Load programs, product licenses, firmware updates, and configure IP addresses and hardware settings.
- Commission and start‑up new HVAC DDC BACnet/IP control systems, documenting progress and updating project stakeholders.
- Conduct hardware I/O testing, alarm verification, and system integration checks.
- Provide technical assistance, product demonstrations, and training to customers and field staff.
- Migrate legacy P2 systems to BACnet and maintain accurate as‑built documentation.
Required profile
- Experience with HVAC building automation and control system start‑up.
- Ability to work independently on field sites and follow detailed technical procedures.
- Strong problem‑solving skills for network, software, and hardware issues.
