Controller – Senior Living Finance Leader

About the role

Adaptive Senior Living is looking for a disciplined, hands‑on Controller to lead accounting and financial operations across its growing senior‑living portfolio. The role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day execution, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cash management, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close for all entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for leadership, lenders and investors.
• Coordinate year‑end audits, tax filings and manage relationships with external accounting partners.
• Partner with community leaders to review resident billing, receivables, operating expenses and site‑level financial activity.
• Manage daily cash flow, liquidity, cash‑forecasting models and banking relationships.
• Supervise accounts payable processes, vendor management and timely payments.
• Ensure accurate payroll processing and related regulatory filings.
• Lead annual budgeting, ongoing forecasting and financial analysis to support growth initiatives.
