Controller / Senior Accounting Leader

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Controller / Senior Accounting Leader to join our centralized corporate accounting team in Miami. The role will oversee core accounting operations in a high‑volume, multi‑entity environment and drive process improvements and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations and management analysis.
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP, internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Treasury, Internal Audit and executive leadership.
• Champion workflow automation, accounting transformation and ERP/reporting tool enhancements.
• Support external audits and coordinate quarterly and annual audit activities.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff within a collaborative corporate setting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
• CPA certification.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or large public company exposure.
• Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Experience in complex, multi‑entity or high‑volume environments.
