Controller – Remote (Full‑time)

About the role

Strategic CFO is seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Controller to join one of its Nearsourcing teams. This full‑time, 100% remote position supports a single client, with quarterly travel to Houston, TX for on‑site meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close and prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Perform account and intercompany reconciliations.
• Conduct cash‑flow, P&L, and budgeting forecasts.
• Collaborate with team members across the Nearsourcing engagement.
• Present virtually during business hours via Teams with camera on.
• Travel quarterly to the client’s U.S. site.

Required profile

• CPA, Contador Público, or Chartered Accountant certification.
• 10+ years of experience, including prior Controller or CFO roles.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and a valid U.S. passport/VISA.

Required skills

• U.S. GAAP financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Account and intercompany reconciliations.
• Cash‑flow, P&L, and budgeting forecasting.
• Implementation of internal controls.
