Controller – Financial Leader for Hospitality Account

About the role

Restaurant Associates is looking for a collaborative and detail‑oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of its prestigious World Bank account. This senior finance professional will partner with operational leaders to drive accurate reporting, budgeting, and strategic decision‑making in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis for the World Bank account.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and produce profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and operating metrics.
• Monitor revenue, labor, food costs, and operating expenses to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Manage cash controls, bank and credit‑card reconciliations, POS reporting, and client billing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and contractual requirements.
• Support external and internal audits and prepare sales‑tax and regulatory filings.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls and provide financial guidance to account leadership.
• Lead special projects, financial modeling, and process‑improvement initiatives while mentoring finance team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Progressive accounting and financial management experience, preferably in hospitality, foodservice, contract dining, retail, or multi‑unit operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
